8/4/2016by MR Beat

The Mount Rainier football team volunteered at the Des Moines Back to School Fair. The players got the opportunity to mingle with members of the community, as well as help with moving tables, chairs and anything else that was needed. Janel Stoneback, one of the coordinators of the of the event, provided the guys with breakfast and backpacks, along with smoothies. This event is very important to Mount Rainier Football and the program loves offering its' time annually to the back to school fair.

The player even got to have a little fun time afterwards, as the Mt. Rainier pool donated some pool time to the players. All in all, it was a great day for the community and the Rams. This amazing event helps out so many families yearly, as it provides free backpacks, school supplies and many others. It is also a great opportunity to register for free and reduced price meals, access internet services, and learn about community resources.
