The Spring Valley defense, anchored by senior cornerback Terrell Johnson, held Chapin without a point until less than 30 seconds remained in Friday’s two-quarter, 14-7 exhibition win over the Eagles at the Irmo Jamboree.

Johnson’s consistently outstanding play, recognized by Vikings head coach Robin Bacon immediately following the game, earns him the CiCi’s Pizza Spring Valley Player of the Week  award.
