Dolphins Take Two in Final Series of the Season

Bolivia, NC - In their final series of the regular season, the BCC Dolphins won a close first game 11-10 over Wake Tech Community College, then had a blow out win 11-0 in the second game on Saturday, May 3, at Founders Field, and on Sunday lost 8-5 after a long 15 innings.

 

In the first game of the double header on Saturday, Pat Graham brought in the winning run for BCC with the score tied at 10 going into the bottom of the 9th.  He had a total of five RBI's on four hits.  Nick Debo had a three-run homer in the first inning to start the Dolphins off.  Jordan Cumming pitched for the Dolphins and helped secure the win.

 

In game two, BCC blew away Wake Tech 11-0.  The Dolphins had a big third inning of seven runs.  Contributing to that total were Pat Graham and Willie McRae who each had RBI doubles, as well as  RBI singles by Ryan Maksim and Cole Josselyn, and a two-run single by Bay Wright.  Getting the job done on the mound was Alex Ministeri for the Dolphins.

 

On Sunday, in the final game of the year for the Dolphins, BCC lost 8-5 after 15 innings.  Wake Tech had a big comeback at the top of the 15th, scoring three runs on  two-run homer.  Ryan Maksim went 5-5 at the plate, tripling in the fifth and singling in the first, third, seventh and ninth.

 

The BCC Baseball Team held it's annual Ball Drop Fundraiser during Saturday's games, and the lucky winner was Aircare Inc, Charleston, SC.
