The Camp Community College Hurricanes took home a 7-2 victory over Louisburg College on Sunday. Camp opened up scoring in the second inning. Joseph Lathrop singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Louisburg evened things up at one in the bottom of the third inning. David Cucci hit a solo homer. After the Hurricanes scored one run in the top of the sixth, Louisburg answered with one of their own. Camp Community College answered back when Rufus Hurdle drew a walk, scoring one run. Louisburg struck again when Landon Smith hit a solo homer. The Hurricanes pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. Patrick Rogan was the winning pitcher for Camp Community College. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out six. Dylan Beck threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Beck recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for the Hurricanes. KJ Wells toed the rubber for Louisburg. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out six and walking one. Louisburg smacked two home runs on the day. Cucci put one out in the third inning. Smith had a homer in the sixth inning. Camp Community College tallied ten hits on the day. Tannor Sullivan and Lathrop all had multiple hits for the Hurricanes. They both had two hits on the day.
