Storm 2000 Places 9th in USFA World Series
7/19/2010by Addison Davis

Congrats to the Jacksonville Storm 2000 team for finishing 9th out of 67 teams in the USFA World Series.  Storm 2000 fell short of making the Final Four on Friday evening losing to a very seasoned and experienced Mississippi Elite ’99 team.  Nonetheless, the girls played great all weekend and were led offensively by Emma Gipson, Addyson Mauldin, Morgan Smith and Maddie Macik.  Defensively, our pitchers, Morgan Smith and Casey Williams, did an outstanding job keeping the batters off balance which allowed Storm 2000 to be very competitive in this tournament.

Our organization is very proud of this team and the female athletes who were committed to the storm all season.  We wish success to all of the female athletes in their future endeavors and hope to see them in the fall.
