After going 0-8 versus the Oswego Cats over the past 4 years the Dirtbags break the losing streak. For those of you that follow the team to Oswego yearly, you know that good weather is non-exsistant in this match up. Although it was cold and the sleeves were brought back out by both teams it was the best weather ever for these two teams. Niko Kutsulis got the ball to start the game and gave the Dirtbags 5.2 STRONG innings allowing only one run. During that time the Dirtbags put up 3 runs with the help of Kevin Mampe's third inning single followed by a stolen base then a shot to the outfield for Ryan Pellack's RBI. Two more run in the 6th by the Dirtbags from Josh Krueger who totaled 3 RBI's throughout the game and Mark Kanes clutch hit with two outs in the 6th. Brady Kostecki finished the game for Kutsulis with 5 K's and no runs allowed, in the 9th inning the team put the final few nails in the coffin with a 3 run inning. Solid team effort tonight by the team and that will start a 3 game win streak for the Dirtbags. Back in action at Joliet Catholic tomorrow (June 8th) vs the Westmont Red Sox at 5pm.
