The Eagles lost their second game in a row on Friday night to the Oaks Christian Lions. It was yet another game decided by one goal. The final score was 4-5. which drops the Eagles' record to 5-5 on the season.
The Lions got on the board first in the low scoring contest and never gave up the lead. All the Lions scoring came in the first half with most of the action taking place in the second quarter. In that quarter, the Eagles' defense let up four goals. In the second half, the Lions were shut out by the Oak Park defense. On the offensive side, the Eagles were frustrated by the Oaks Christian defense the entire game. They could not find the key to unlocking the Oaks Christian zone defense. Open shots, especially inside, were very hard to come by.
Tyler Chandler scored 1 goal with 1 assist. Hunter Jamison, Ryan Helfand, and Zack Shorts each scored a goal. Griffin Hughes and Alex Wenker each had an assist.
The JV team dominated the LIons on offense and defense. Goalie Keldan Doheney registered his third shutout of the season in the 12-0 victory. Owen Consoletti had a hat trick. Taylor Bray and Sam Sklar each scored twice. Evan Saravis had 1goal and 2 assists. Patrick Lasure and Stephen Brrnstein each picked up 1 goal and 1 assist.
