Pacifica 3, Tustin 2 (12 innings): Bobby Santos’ sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th inning drove in the winning run for Pacifica (15-9 overall, 5-0 in league).

The win keeps the Mariners tied for first place with Cypress that also is 5-0 in league.

Pacifica coach Mike Caira, who watched his team leave 19 runners on base, just before Santos’ run-scoring fly was concerned that the game was about to be called because of darkness.

“It was still light,” Caira said. “But it was also ‘any pitch now … ‘”

Tustin is 13-11 overall and 2-3 in league.
