North Tahoe Lakers Varsity snagged a late lead and defeated West Wendover 5-4 on Saturday.North Tahoe Lakers Varsity trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Eli Snyderhomered on a 0-2 count, scoring four runs.

West Wendover got things started in the second inning when West Wendover scored on a stolen base during Anthony Lara's at bat. Then Lara singled.

North Tahoe Lakers Varsity evened things up at one in the bottom of the fifth inning when Joseph Lanza doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Koby Mattson earned the victory on the hill for North Tahoe Lakers Varsity. He lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out five and walking zero. Graham Payne threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Payne recorded the last three outs to earn the save for North Tahoe Lakers Varsity.

Hard took the loss for West Wendover. He allowed six hits and one run over five innings, striking out four.

North Tahoe Lakers Varsity socked one home run on the day. Snyder went yard in the sixth inning.
