Walk-Off Seals Win For Orange Against Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity

 

A walk-off left Calvary Chapel on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat to Orange on Saturday. The game was tied at five with Orange batting in the bottom of the eleventh when #10 singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. The Eagles lost despite out-hitting Orange 11 to nine.

 

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Orange tied things up at five. An error scored one run for Orange.
Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity tallied three runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by doubles by Charlie Pierce and Jonathan Brown.

 

#10 was on the mound for Orange. He allowed 11 hits and five runs over six innings, striking out two and walking one.


Sam Guardardo led things off on the mound for Calvary Chapel. He allowed five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out six. Pierce and Chris Berry entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and two innings respectively.

 

The Eagles scattered 11 hits in the game. Pierce, Brock Hiatt, Max Coyne, and Brown all managed multiple hits for Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity. Pierce went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity in hits.


Orange tallied nine hits on the day. #7 and #5 each had multiple hits for Orange.
