Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity Blows Out Saddleback
Calvary Chapel asserted their will over Saddleback on their way to an easy 11-2 victory.
The Eagles opened up scoring in the first inning. Charlie Pierce drove in one when he doubled. Saddleback evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning. #13 hit a solo homer. Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity pulled away for good with one run in the third inning when Sam Guardardo singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity's offense in the inning came from singles by Michael Randazzo and Chris Berry. Max Coyne was the winning pitcher for Calvary Chapel. He allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Sean Riley, Tyler Lavoie, Gavin Gildart, and Jonathan Brown all securing outs and ultimately the victory.
#13 was on the pitcher's mound for Saddleback. He surrendered six runs on six hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one. #5 threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Calvary Chapel smacked one home run on the day by Jonathan Brown in the seventh inning. The Eagles had nine hits in the game. Berry and J Brown all collected multiple hits for Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity. C Brown and Berry each managed two hits to lead Calvary Chapel. The Eagles didn't commit a single error in the field. C Brown had 13 chances, the most on the team. Calvary Chapel stole 11 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Berry led the way with three.
