Eleven senior athletes sign to continue their athletic careers in college.
November 14- The Skutt Catholic commons was filled with excitement today as eleven student athletes committed to their respective colleges. Tables were filled with sweet treats, pictures, memories, and contracts to be signed by the students. Lily Heyne, Trevor Stevens, Elise Warneke, Peyton Rhen, Sydney McDermott, Jacob Leigleiter, Kaleb Fulerton, Austin Oswald, Reilly Kirkpatrick, Laurin Mertz, and Tanner Lukowski made up the eleven athletes who committed.
Coaches and parents were in attendance at today’s event, all of them beaming with pride. President, Mr Jeremy Moore shook every signee’s hands prior to the event occurring. The blatant pride radiating from the room was heartwarming. Parents and friends cheered for the athletes while Skutt Catholic Athletic Director, Mr Donn Kasner, read the achievements of each student.
While there were a great assortment of students who signed, the colleges and continued sport endeavors were diverse. Volleyball, Baseball, Soccer, Golf, and Softball made up the assortment of the various athletic programs. Skutt Catholic set a school record for the most students to sign in a single season.
Another signing day will occur in the Spring semester. Skutt Catholic is very proud of the achievements made by their student athletes and is excited to see them continue to soar.
