Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity scores more runs than Orange, takes victory on Tuesday to the tune of 9-4
Calvary Chapel got things moving in the first inning. Charlie Pierce's sac fly scored one run for Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity. The Eagles then notched five runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Michael Randazzo, a sac bunt with a throwing error on a ball put in play by Tyler Lavoie, and a double by Max Coyne.
Sam Guardardo pitched Calvary Chapel to victory. He surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out three. Pierce and Jonathan Brown entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
#10 was on the hill for Orange. He allowed 17 hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity totaled 17 hits. Chris Berry, Guardardo, Chris Brown, Sean Riley, Randazzo, and Coyne all had multiple hits for Calvary Chapel Eagles Varsity. Guardardo and Berry each collected three hits to lead Calvary Chapel.
