Mattson Collects Four Hits As North Tahoe Lakers Varsity Defeats Incline

Four hits from Koby Mattson helped lead the way for North Tahoe Lakers Varsity over Incline 15-5 on Tuesday. Mattson homered in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.

 

Incline scored three runs in the second inning, but North Tahoe Lakers Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. Incline scored its runs on a single by Jacob Leoncio.

 

Incline fired up the offense in the first inning. Gage Pierce singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

 

North Tahoe Lakers Varsity took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Mattson singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Danny Sandoval singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Xander Kriston grounded out, scoring one run.

 

North Tahoe Lakers Varsity put up five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by North Tahoe Lakers Varsity was led by Tanner WilkinsNathan WhislerSam SheridanMattson, and Luke Giacobazzi, all driving in runs in the frame.

 

Sandoval pitched North Tahoe Lakers Varsity to victory. He went five innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out three. Mattson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

 

Trent Green took the loss for Incline. He went two and a third innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out one and walking one.

 

North Tahoe Lakers Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Mattson went for the long ball in the first inning.
