(CHARLOTTE, N.C.)  The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association held its 2009-2010 Basketball Press Conference today at the Charlotte Convention Center and the Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs are predicted to finish first in the CIAA Eastern Division.  Bowie State under first-year head coach Donna Polk, ended the 2008-2009 season with a 19-11 overall record (14-4 in the CIAA) and advanced all the way to the conference championship game.

Today's meeting also included the announcement of the All-CIAA Pre-Season Team which included Bowie State senior guard Bianca Lee (Temple Hills, MD, Archbishop Carroll) and junior forward Teaunsha Robinson (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic).  Lee and Robinson ranked one and two on the team in scoring, averaging 15.3 and 13.9 respectively and were named to the 2008-2009 All-CIAA and All-Tournament Teams.

The season is one month away, and the conference championship title is any team's for the taking!
