Smoky Mtn Wookies Takes Victory Against Chattanooga Braves In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Sunday, but Smoky Mtn Wookies defeated Chattanooga Braves 3-1. Tre Carter allowed just five hits to Chattanooga Braves.

Smoky Mtn Wookies opened up scoring in the first inning.  Hunter Wesson grounded out, scoring one run.

Carter earned the victory on the mound for Smoky Mtn Wookies . The bulldog surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out 11.

Steven Currie took the loss for Chattanooga Braves. The southpaw surrendered three runs on 12 hits over seven innings, striking out nine.

Smoky Mtn Wookies had 12 hits in the game.  John Maldonado, Vini Haro, Alex Moore, Carter, and Michael Haywood all managed multiple hits for Smoky Mtn Wookies . Maldonado went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Smoky Mtn Wookies in hits.

Chattanooga Braves was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jonathan Parrot had the most chances in the field with nine.
