This weeks Yankee of the week goes to game 1 starter Zach Hopkins. Hopkins the flame throwing righty lead the Yankees to a victory in game 1 with his complete game. During the complete game Hopkins allowed only 1 run and struck out an impressive 15 batters. Hopkins, the Yankee ace, also got it done at the plate today going 5-5 with a BB, 3 RBI and 2 runs. Standout performance:

This weeks standout Yankee goes to Jesse Dominguez. Dominguez was a monumental part of the Yankees game 1 victory. Dominguez tallied 4 RBIs in the 6th inning when he took a 1-0 fastball to the opposite field for a grand slam. The grand slam was the first by any Yankee this season. Jesse Dominguez is this weeks standout player.
