ECM Coach Takes New Role as Director of Youth Teams and 14u Coach
7/21/2021

ECM is pleased to announce that current 18u assistant coach Andrew Miron will take on a new role as the Director of Youth Teams as well as the new 14u head coach for the coming year. As the Director of Youth Teams, Coach Miron will work with the coaches, players, and families of teams 14u and younger, streamlining the communication and culture of East Coast Michigan.

Coach Miron has been a part of the ECM staff since 2017 and has worked in several different capacities. Coach Miron has previously served as a 15u and 17u head coach as well as a hitting and infield instructor. In addition to coaching for ECM Coach Miron previously served as the junior varsity head coach at Port Huron High School. Coach Miron played baseball at Siena Heights University from 2011-2013. He is married to his wife Madison Miron and resides in Clyde, Michigan with Madison and two sons Benajmin and Oliver.

Below are a few questions we had for Coach Miron:

Why has ECM continued to be the program you have decided to work with since 2017?

"ECM has shown itself year after year to be the premier developmental, college-prep organization in the area. I have been proud to work with Coach Sheppard to bring a baseball organization that prioritizes player development and collegiate exposure these last 5 years. It has been very important for me to continue to work with an organization that strives to put players first.

I hope to continue to work with ECM for many years to come."

What do you hope to bring to the program and in your new role as a 14u coach and Director of Youth Teams?

"I am very excited to transition into a new role as the 14u coach and ECM's Director of Youth Teams. Over the last 5 years, I have spent time as a head coach, an assistant, and an instructor within the organization. My goal as the new 14u coach and Youth Teams Director is to implement the culture and mission of ECM with our younger teams. I look forward to working with our coaches, players, and families to bring a player-driven approach to development. Our goal has always been to prepare our players for college baseball and I hope to establish that type of positive and hardworking culture amongst all involved within our youth teams."
