The trio of Cowan Alfonso (Lousiana Christian), Braden McLin (Louisiana Christian), and Danik Reed (Nunez CC) will represent the Hornell Steamers at the Prospect Games. The trio will play a pair of game on Monday, June 24 at Liberty University.
Alfonso has pitched in five games. In six inning of work he is 1-0 with a save and a 1.50 ERA. He has walked four and struck out nine.
McLin leads the team with a .426 batting average (23 for 54). He has seven doubles, two triples, a homer, and 17 RBI. He has also stolen 7 out of 8 bases and has scored 13 times. On the mound, he is 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA in 10 innings of work.
Reed has tossed ten innings and is 1-1 in five appearances out of the bullpen. He has walked eight and struck out 13.
The NYCBL team will take on a prospect team from the Hamptons League at 10 a.m. and the Valley League at 2 p.m.
