Eagles Escape Wolverine Grasp

In a downpour in Studio City the Vasity Eagles limped out of town with a 13-11 victory.  The Eagles quickly took control jumping out to a 5-1 first quarter lead, they would maintain their 4 goal advantage at halftime, up 8-4.   The Eagles found themselves man down frequently which the Wolverines took advantage of, scoring 4 unanswered goals in the late frames.  Mid way through the 4th quarter the Eagles trailed 9-10 for the first time since the first minute of the game.  The Eagles were determined and lead by Zack Shorts and Shane Bracken.   Shorts, who has been one of the Eagles MVP's was unstoppable in the final three minutes.  In that time he tallied 1 goal and 2 incredible assists.  The Eagle victory was perserved by another Eagle MVP Shane Bracken.  Like so many nights, Shane made some great saves, none bigger than on a Wolverine one on one breakaway, in which he came out of net to stone the Wolverine Attackman.  Griffin Hughes added 4 goals in the victory.

 

The Eagles improve their record to 3-3 and face Beverly Hills on Wednesday night at Eagle Stadium.

 

JV EAGLES CONTINUE WINNING WAYS

The Eagles impoved to 2-1 smothering the Wolverines 14-1.  For the second straight game the defense and DINO, carried a shutout into the final minutes.  Ethan DeRose tallied 4 goals and Jacob Espinoza netted his first goal of the season.
