North Allegheny Junior Varsity Tigers scored six runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat North Hills 10-0 on Monday at North Allegheny Senior High School. Scotti singled, scoring one run, Evanish singled, scoring one run, Vargo was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Mullen doubled, scoring three runs.
North Allegheny Junior Varsity Tigers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Schantz doubled, scoring two runs, Scotti singled, scoring one run, and Rosenberg hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Vargo earned the win for North Allegheny Junior Varsity Tigers. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Mewnger started on the mound for North Hills. The pitcher allowed eight hits and five runs over four innings, striking out two and walking two.
North Allegheny Junior Varsity Tigers piled up 11 hits in the game. Mullen led North Allegheny Junior Varsity Tigers with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Scotti, Schantz, and Vargo each collected multiple hits for North Allegheny Junior Varsity Tigers.
Quinn and Thompson each collected one hit for North Hills.
