Aurora vs. Bolton in NDBL Final

August 27, 2010

The Aurora Jays eliminated the New Lowell Knights, yesterday, from the playoffs after an exciting fifth game win. Aurora trailed New Lowell 2-1 going into the sixth inning, but with a New Lowell error and timely hits by the Jays, Aurora scored three runs to take the lead 4-2. They were able to hold the Knights in the seventh to win the game and the best of five series.

With the win, Aurora will advance to the championship finals of the North Dufferin Baseball League against the defending champions, Bolton 'A' Brewers.

Bolton recently defeated Creemore in three straight games for their second straight appearance in the finals. This is the first time in Aurora's five year history to make the final round. Both teams play in the East division of the League.

The first game of the championship is set for Saturday at Bolton with first pitch at 1:00 p.m. Game two is scheduled for Sunday at Aurora also at 1:00 p.m.
