
Grant Consoletti concluded a successful freshman season with the Minutemen. Consoletti started the first 11 games for UMass at attack as the Minutemen jumped out to a 7-2 start and broke into the the top 10. Youth caught up with UMass as they dropped their last 4 games to finish 7-6 and miss the CAA playoffs due to a tiebreaker. Consoletti injured his ankle in practice and missed the 12th game against Hofstra and was limited to EMO in the final game against Delaware. Overall, Grant scored 6 goals and added 7 assists for the Minutemen with his best game against CAA foe, Drexel, with 2 goals and 2 assists. UMass started 4 freshman and 3 sophomores in 2014 so the future looks bright for the Minutemen in the upcoming seasons.
