WIth the Eagles victory over Crespi on Saturday, OP heads into uncharted territory, the CIF Southern Section Semi-Finals.  No Ventura County team has advanced this far.  The Eagles will face a familiar opponent, the Palos Verdes Sea Kings, who upended the #2 seeded Loyola Cubs 9-6 at Loyola in the other North Quarterfinal game.  OP beat PV in a thrilling overtime game at  Oak Park on April 21st 9-8.  Click hear to see the game winner.  The Sea Kings are no stranger to the Semi-Finals, this will be their 4th straight appearance but only one victory in 2012 when they lost a tough CIF SS title game to Corona Del Mar 7-6 after leading at halftime.  The game will be played at Mira Costa HS on Wednesday at 730 pm.  

The Northern Division has never beaten the Southern Division since they started the current playoff system in 2009.  On the Orange County side of the bracket, the top seeded Foothill Knights have cruised to the other semi-final and will face the #3 seeded J Serra Lions who upset #2 seed Corona Del Mar on Saturday night.  The Knight squeaked by the Lions earlier in the season by 1 goal.  That game will be played at Aliso Niguel HS on Wednesday at 7:30.

The CIF SS Championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 pm at Huntington Beach HS.
