About the Arlington Cardinals

The Arlington Cardinals Wrestling Club is a proud member of the Illinois Kid's Wrestling Federation (IKWF). We are a self-supporting, non-profit organization run by volunteer coaches and parents. Our mission is to teach, develop, condition, and train athletes to reach their full potential and prep them for high school. We want every wrestler's overall experience in the organization to be a positive one that they will take with them the rest of their lives. Each athlete will experience many character-building qualities like physical fitness, team work, discipline, success, failure, sportsmanship, and commitment in their quest to reach their full potential.

The club was started in 1980 by its founder Coach Ken Zintak. Over its long history, the Cardinals have been a very successful program. Many of its wrestlers have gone on to have great success at both the high school and collegiate levels. We stress excellence in everything we do, both on and off the mat.

Over the years, many of our Cardinals have had successes at Folkstyle Nationals Events, Elementary/Middle School Duals, and various Freestyle and Greco-Roman competitions.
