The Beaver County Colt League History
The Beaver County Colt League was founded in 1961 with original members Ambridge, Brighton Twp., Beaver, Rochester and New Brighton. In the following years many Beaver County communities joined the League to form what is now one of the longest standing community leagues on the East Coast for Colt League baseball.
The Beaver County Colt League and its founding members sought to create a competitive league for communities in and around Beaver County. Currently the Beaver County Colt League has eleven member teams and strives for the excellence set forth by its original founding members and officers.
Former players have all come to know the League simply as the BCCL. Each year the BCCL crowns a champion. The Manager of the BCCL Champion is presented with the BCCL Championship Trophy which has engraved into it the name of the teams that have captured the crown since its inaugural season. The Trophy is from the inaugural season and is displayed at each game prior to its presentation to the new BCCL Champion. The presentation each year is made by the previous seasons championsip team Manager.
