Welcome to Boise High – About Us

Boise High School is one of five public high schools in Boise, Idaho. It is the oldest of the five and is located near the downtown core. Boise High School is a three year comprehensive public senior high school with a current co-educational enrollment of approximately 2000 students. For 2019 Boise High School has been ranked 5th in Idaho and nationally ranked 1065 out of 17,000 high schools across the nation by US News magazine for America’s Best High Schools. 

• Our athletic department has been very successful on the court, the playing field, and in the classroom.
• Since the fall of 2000, we have earned 44 State Championship Banners in a variety of sports.
• Not only do we excel on the playing field, but our student athletes also excel in the classroom. Since 2002, our student athletes have achieved 31 State Academic Awards presented to us from the Idaho High School Activities Association for having the highest GPA of all schools in that sport season. This fall alone we received three of those 31 awards.
• Our coaches and staff believe in producing more than just successful athletic teams, they believe in producing great, well-rounded athletes who will be prepared to transition to the next level of post-secondary education.
• Boise High won State Boys Baseball in 1991, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2008, State Boys Soccer in the fall of 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016, State Girls Cross Country in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, State Girls Swimming in the Fall of 2011, State Boys Tennis in the Spring of 2012, State Girls Tennis in the Spring of 2013, State Girls Soccer in the Fall of 2013, State Girls Swimming in the Fall of 2013, State Girls Tennis in the Spring of 2014, State Girls Swimming in the Fall of 2014, State Boys Tennis in the Spring of 2015, State Girls Track in the Spring of 2015,  State Girls Swimming in the Fall of 2015 and also State Boys Swimming in the Fall of 2015, and State Girls Softball in 2018.
