Capital District Hockey Association (CDHA)

The CDHA is a competitive A/B level OVER 25 non-checking men's ice hockey league established and in operation since 1964. We are a USA Hockey certified league (all members must have active USA Hockey Insurance) comprised of 6 teams. Every year we hold a draft for new players to join the league and this is your best oportunity to get involved!  Each game of the 25 game season, & single elimination playoffs (finals being best of 3), features two certified USA Hockey referees & a scorekeeper.  Season scheduling, results as well as team & individual player stats are updated & posted on the website throughout the season.   This league also features an end-of-season banquet & golf tournament held at Frear Park golf course and the Park Pub Restaurant. 

Each year, all 6 teams make the single elimination series of the playoffs thus guaranteeing a minimum of 26 games per team each season.  Any given teams maximum potential of games is 30 if playing in the first round of the playoffs and going all of the way to the 3rd game of the best of 3 final series.  Our games fall on the day/times listed below:

Albany Academy:
    - Sunday: 2:30 - 4 PM 
    - Monday 8:30 - 10 PM

Frear Park: 
    - Thursdays: 9:30 - 11 PM
    - Friday: 7:50 - 9:20 PM OR
    - Friday: 9:30 -11 PM

Interested players should contact us here.  Please note:  You MUST have played organized hockey at some point in your career to play in this league.  This is a fast paced, high quality hockey league.
