The Thunder formed in 2011 as a combination of players from the 35+ Cubs, 35+ Pirates, 28+ Whitesox, and 28+ Cardinals.  The team had a successful inaugural year, playing competitive baseball and exemplifying the best in sportsmanship.  The Thunder, named after the Class A Yankees affiliate Trenton Thunder, are known for their power, not their speed, and let their sticks do their talking.
