South Anchorage Hockey Association (SAHA) IS GROWING!  In the 2013/2014 season, SAHA is proud to announce the opening of the SAHA Fitness and Education Center.  SAHA will be offering a state of the art education center which will allow our young athletes and coaches the opportunity to take part in the USA Hockey Intelligym and to have all the latest and greatest information available at the click of a button.  The fully equiped hockey fitness center will be available to all our young athletes by providing a shooting and stick handeling area as well as a skating treadmill for skill building and power skating. For goalies we will be adding a shooting area and will also have an association goalie coach.  Players skate an average of 3 to 4 times per week at the best facility in Anchorage, the Subway Sports Centre, from August through March.

SAHA coaches are highly-skilled and focus on the development of each and every player  to achieve their greatest potential. The result is that many players gain the skills and confidence to advance to the next level of hockey!  The SAHA youth hockey program is a recreational and competitive instructional program geared to the development and fundamentals of ice hockey. SAHA plays in the recreational house and competitive league of the Alaska State Hockey Association and is governed by the rule of USA Hockey. Players are provided with Home jerseys and game socks.
  

SAHA MISSION STATEMENT

The South Anchorage Hockey Association (SAHA) will provide the opportunity for the youth of Anchorage to develop the skills necessary  for each  player to play the game of hockey. SAMM will insist that its coaches, parents and players understand and live by fair play  and sportsmanship. SAHA believes that the game of hockey teaches not only physical skills but should teach life skills necessary for our youth to develop into good citizens of our community.
