About Miss Softball

      2003 Kentucky Miss Softball - Brooke Marnitz

 

 MISS SOFTBALL is the top individual honor awarded to a Kentucky High School Fastpitch player. This award is given each year to the most outstanding player in the state of Kentucky, as voted on by members of the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.


     In 2003 Brooke Marnitz completed her outstanding high school career at Paul Laurence Dunbar by being named Miss Softball for the State of Kentucky. Brooke finished her high school playing career with a 499 career batting average highlighted by a 622 average as a senior. Brooke has a total of 9 individual records that are still ranked in the Kentucky State Fastpitch record books.

 

 

After completing her high school career Brooke played collegiately for the University of Kentucky where she was awarded Second Team All SEC honors as a senior while leading the conference in Home Runs with 21. Following college Brooke competed professionally in fastpitch softball.
