Poland All Sports Boosters

 

 

Tradition is a word synonymous with the Poland Schools as well as with Poland Athletics.   The Poland All-Sports Boosters is an organization that began in the mid 1970’s and is still a successful, philanthropic organization today.  The goal of the organization is to support more than 800 high school and middle school student-athletes involved in  19 girls and boys teams.

 

Through donations and fundraisers the All Sports Booster Club offers every Poland athletic program extra money to help fund special needs of each sport and purchase equipment and supplies for the school athletic trainer.  It also helps to defray costs the athletic department may encounter such as purchasing student athletic awards in grades 7 – 12.  The following is a list of some of the donations the club has made.

 

Football – Purchased 6 new headsets for high school coaches

Track – Donated $4,000 to help resurface the track

Softball – Purchased new uniform pants and helped renovate dugouts

Baseball – Purchased new uniform pants and helped renovate dugouts

Basketball – Purchased a shooting gun used by both boys and girls teams

Soccer – Purchased a set of nets for the program

Golf – Provide money for equipment such as bags, umbrellas and polos

Tennis – Purchased two nets and equipment for the courts

Volleyball and Wrestling – Donated money for the purchase of general equipment and training aids

Swimming – Made a donation to help defray the cost of the pool rental fees

Cross Country – purchased new uniforms

Weight Room- Donated $8,000 for the renovation of the weight room which benefits all of our sports programs.

Athletic Surface- Made a $25,000 donation to the renovation of the HS Athletic Surface.

General- The Poland All Sports Boosters purchases and provides all Seniors with their Bulldog Award. In addition to the Bulldog award, the Boosters provides two scholarships to a male and female athlete each year.

Cheerleading - Replaced two bulldog mascots, every three years assists with the purchase of uniforms for the cheerleaders.

Middle School Sports – Provide the dessert banquet at the end of each season

               

In the last year the All-Sports Boosters have donated well over $40,000 in additional funds to help student-athletes in grades 7-12 in all sports.  The All-Sports Booster Club has several major fundraisers including the All Sports Boosters Annual Youth Basketball Tournament and the Annual Golf Outing.
