Starlings L.A. West Volleyball Club  is a proud partner of Starlings Volleyball Clubs, USA which is the largest junior volleyball club in the nation serving some 3,000 girls in over 50+ clubs across America. 

The Starlings believe in supporting the participation of girls in volleyball because:

• Girls who participate in sports are 92% less likely to get involved with drugs.
• Girls who participate in sports have a higher level of self esteem.
• Girls who participate in sports are three times more likely to graduate from high school.
• Girls who participate in sports are 80% less likely to have an unwanted pregnancy.

The sport of volleyball is ideal for the inner cities and rural areas of America — inexpensive, non-contact and inherently a social game requiring communication and cooperation. Girls playing volleyball in the United States outnumber boys, 12-1. It is truly the “girl’s game” of America.

The game of volleyball has changed so much over the years and with so many systems, options and techniques in volleyball today it can get pretty confusing for the novice athlete and parent. One thing is certain.

West VBC believes Basics is they key to Building a solid foundation MENTAL TOUGHNESS & CONFIDENCE Is where it starts for each athlete on their journey.  We use Repetition & discipline  to build each athletes self confidence. We know learning the basics can be boring, monotonous, repetitive and not the most exciting thing to do. BUT IT WORKS! That old saying "nothing good ever comes easy" still hold true. We have adopted  the mentality "DO TODAY WHAT OTHERS WON'T. SO TOMORROW YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH WHAT OTHERS CAN'T" Always moving forward and upward .
