Stayner Hitmen Lacrosse is a local volunteer run association that is all about keeping kids active! Our focus is on learning the sport and developing skills while keeping it fun!
We are so grateful to be located in a community that is so supportive of minor sports. We receive a lot of support from local businesses and groups in our efforts to get kids off the couch and moving! Please check out our sponsor page and support them!
We are part of the Ontario Lacrosse Association ( www.ontariolacrosse.com )

How do we complete our bond hours?
Bond hours are completed by helping at tournaments, running the game clock and running the canteen during games.
The number of hours required is calculated after registration is closed and the rosters are complete.
I might be interested in coaching. How do I find out what all is involved?
Let us know when you register your child if you have any questions about coaching. All volunteers need to take an introductory coaching course. The cost of this course is reimbursed by SHL.
I might be interested in refereeing.
Refereeing is a paid position that does require training. Please let us know if you are interested in becoming a referee or if you have any questions.
What if my child cannot attend a game or practice?
Attendance for games and practices is very important. Learning and developing together as a team can only happen if your child is there consistently. If there are extenuating circumstances and your child is unable to be at a practice or game, you are asked to always inform your coaching staff as soon as you know.
Can I get my registration refunded if we decide not to play?
The Stayner Minor Lacrosse Association charges a $30 dollar administration fee for ALL REFUNDS(unless the program is cancelled by the SMLA) to cover OLA fees.
NO REFUNDS will be issued after the day prior to the final tryout.
All requests for refunds must be made in writing to the SMLA Registrar at [email protected].
Refund Requests due to injury withdrawals will be treated on a case by case basis. If you are entitled to a refund, the Club Treasurer will contact you.
Who would I contact if I had a concern or question?
If you have a concern within the team, we encourage you to speak to the coaching staff to resolve the issue. However, if you are unable to resolve the issue or you have a concern or suggestion outside of your particular team, please feel free to contact a member of the executive.
