Our team was founded in December of 2016. Five of us came together one day for practice in the cold and decided that we wanted to create something that was bigger than ourselves. Something that could help us grow the bond we had with each other into one that we had with an entire team, while growing the league we play in at the same time.
So myself (Brandon Davis) and Brady Valliere decided to have dinner at the Western Sizzlin in Ooltewah and work on building our new team. We wrote down everyone we knew that played baseball and went through countless options for a name, but by the nights end, the Chattanooga Heat was formed!
Our team was officially added to the United States Veterans Baseball league in January of 2017. And since then our team has grown ten fold. Each teammate, relative and fan have become more than just supporting roles of a team, they have all become family. And it is because of this family that we are able to have all that we have created.
We are proud to be members of a league that so strongly supports our country’s Veterans and we have several on our team which we are very thankful for. We only hope now that this league will continue to grow and that with that, the cause will grow as well.
So come give us a visit at our new home field at 8000 Batters Place Rd. East Brainerd, TN. We look forward to meeting each and every one of you and we just want to say, welcome to the Heat Family.
