The Women's Central Hockey League is an adult recreational ice hockey league dedicated to encouraging women regardless of talent or experience to participate in women's hockey.  The WCHL includes over 40 member teams from Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Indiana.

 

The WCHL has five skill levels of play from beginner to advanced.

Each team’s roster is averaged and used as a guideline for division placement.

 

D1 – Advanced (11-12) - (formerly Red Division)

D2 – Intermediate/Advanced (8-10) - (formerly White Division)

D3 – Intermediate (7-9) - (formerly Grey/Blue Division)

D4 – Novice/Intermediate (5-8) - (formerly Blue Division)

D5 – Novice (4-6) - (formerly Blue/Green Division)

D6 – Beginner/Novice (2-5) - (formerly Green Division)

D7 – Beginner (0-3) - (formerly Green Division)
