The footage that was shot at our passing tournament has been cleared for broadcast. It will air this Saturday night at 10:00pm on LCPTV Channel 8. If anyone watches it, let us know what you think. If enough of you like this, maybe we'll do some more. I need the feedback. By the way, Clearlake won the scrimmage on SATURDAY, 61=51 over Upper Lake. Read the post on Facebook.

We're trying the open scrimmage idea that was mentioned in the last bulletin. Tomorrow (Saturday, August 20th) in Austin Park at 11:00am. Looks like it will be regular season format and rules.

After the tournament we talked about setting up some open scrimmages for anyone that would like to stay in "football shape" between now and the start of the season. Post "GDFFL scrimmages" on GDFFL Members facebook wall if you're interested. Or call me. Good way to develop teams.

The Upper Lake team beat the Clearlake team 35-31 at our Summer Passing Tournament on another very hot day on the field this year. The number of players that showed up declined from previous tournaments, so we actually played only one game. This happened despite a more involved promotional effort and the waiving of any fees whatsoever!
On a possibly more positive note, TV 8's crew did show up and tape some footage. I'll be meeting with the station's editor later this week to help create a "spot" that will air at a later date. Anyone interested in having some input, get in touch with me. Otherwise, stay tuned for further updates...

TV 8 will be taping( not live unfortunately ) some of our Passing Tournament Saturday morning around 10:00 am. We're asking anyone who can help promote the league( by showing up early to be able to play the first game) to please be there around 9:30am. This will be a good opportunity to show off our league and help build community support! Let's take advantage of it guys...

Anyone playing in the Summer Passing Tournament will want to know that the local TV station ( TV 8) will probably be at Austin Park sometime during the tournament to broadcast live coverage of the event! Get your game faces on...
.... we're a week away from the tourney and as per usual, We're not getting enough response from the league to determine whether or not to try to do this. If you'd like to play LET US KNOW! Please help us spread the word or this activity will go down the drain just because no one is showing us any support.

Less than three weeks until the parade is happening and we don't have an entry yet. We need a few people with full size pick-ups(so that a few teams can represent) or larger vehicles and 2-3 hours available on Saturday, July 2nd to get in touch with me or Bobby ASAP!
We will have our promo/recruiting booth set up at the festival from 9AM to 3PM that Saturday. We're also trying to set up a small exhibition game on the beach(behind our booth) at Austin Park sometime that day. We just need some players to commit so that we can verify exactly when. Please spread the word to anyone you know that might want to show the public what kinda stuff we got.
The booth will be located right on the corner at the intersection of Austin Dr. and Lakeshore Dr. (on the lake side of Lakeshore).
Let's go people... help us promote the league!
