The Hornets traveled to Stamford Twin Rinks this afternoon to faceoff against what might be its strongest opponent of the season. The King School, with a solid varsity team, size, speed, and at least one Yale University commit gave Hamden Hall an excellent game. In this first of two meetings for the season, King sailed to a solid 7-0 victory. Hamden Hall put out a solid effort and put numerous shots on net, but the puck luck was with King. Hamden Hall held King to a single goal in the 1st period, and a single goal in the 3rd period.
The Hornets now ready themselves for their first home game against St. Joe's and will see King again Friday, Feburary 16th in a home game match-up.
The Hamden Hall Hockey Team has skated to a 4-0 season start that includes yesterday's tournament victory over a tough Lyman Hall squad. A stellar goal-tending split, across the four games, between Jacob Tinson and Katelyn Desa and an overall strong team performance allowed the team to prevail. The Hornets will now ready themselves for season play starting this coming Friday 4PM against the Suffield/Granby/Windsor-Locks co-op at the Enfield Twin Rinks. Go Hornets!
The Hamden Hall Ice Hockey team will play in the Holiday tournment final after winning all three of its tournament games. The final will be held 1PM 12/29/2017 at the Milford Ice Pavilion. Come on down to cheer on your Hornets!
It may have been snowy outside, but inside Milford Ice Pavilion the 17-18 Hornet team was just warming up for the season. It was a positive first game of the season against the Milford Indians. From goal-tending, to puck movement, defensive play, and some impressive goals, the team's first outing of the season is hopefully an indication of the season ahead. For Hornets fans in the stands, it was well worth the snowy trek! GO HORNETS!
