      HCP GAME RECAP:  Matt Pulley would hit an RBI 1B scoring Ben Stenger, Brett Hartmann an RBI 1B scoring Scott Kessler, and Kyle Huttn a 2-RBI 2B scoring Pulley and Hartmann putting HCP up 4-0 in the 1st.  Kreigh Hirschy makes the start on the mound with 2 scoreless innings to start.  Matt Longfellow would BB and round the bases to score on a WP and Scott Kessler an RBI-1B scoring Ben Stenger to put HCP up 6-0 in the 2nd.  Matt Longfellow would hit an RBI-1B scoring Jeremy Martin but the Tigers would score 1-R in the 3rd and 3-R's in the 4th to cut the HCP lead to 7-4.  Scott Kessler comes on in relief w/ 2-K's in the 4th and a scoreless 5th.  Jeremy Martin would hit an RBI-1B scoring Ryan Venturi and Martin would score on a WP to put HCP up 9-4 in the 6th.  Eric Teall came on to strike out the side in the 6th and 7th for HCP.  Scott Kessler would score on a WP, Ryan Venturi hit a SAC-FLY RBI scoring Eric Teall, and Matt Pulley would score on a WP to put HCP up 12-4 in the 7th.  Tigers would withdraw from the contest at that point.

HC PHILLIES DEFEAT THE INDIANAPOLIS PIRATES 11-8 ON SUNDAY, 7.19 @ BREBEUF JESUIT HS IN NW INDIANAPOLIS!!

      HCP goes down 1-2-3 to start the game in the 1st.  Matt Pulley starts on the mound for HCP and turns the Pirates away in the 1st.  Eric Teall lead's off the 2nd with a 2B in the gap, followed by Matt Pulley's 1B.  Ryan Venturi hits and RBI 1B scoring Teall and Kyle Hutton hits a big RBI 2B scoring Pulley to put HCP on top 2-0.  Pulley would strike out the side vs the Pirates in the 2nd.  In the 3rd, Ben Stenger leads off with a HBP and Chris Cole would 1B.  Eric Teall would score Stenger with an RBI 1B before Matt Pulley's 2-RBI 1B off the RF wall scoring Cole and Teall as HCP goes on top 5-0.  The Pirates would answer right back with a bases loaded 2B from Danny Alberts as the Pirates plate 3-R's in the 3rd with the score 5-3 HCP after 3.  Kyle Hutton would BB & Joe Scott HBP to lead off the 4th before Jim Goodwin's RBI 1B scores Hutton to put HCP up 6-3.  Pulley then turns in a 5 pitch 4th inning.  In the 5th, Scott Kessler and Chris Cole would hit back to back 1B's before Eric Teall's RBI-1B scoring Kessler.  Matt Pulley comes through again with another 2-RBI 1B.  Ryan Venturi would 1B before Kyle Hutton's RBI 1B putting HCP up 10-3 in the 5th.  Pulley would turn in a 6 pitch 5th inning cruising on the mound for HCP.  Scott Kessler would 1B and Chris Cole would reach on an E5 before yet another RBI 1B from Matt Pulley as HCP goes on top 11-3.  In the 6th the Pirates would bring in another R before Pulley finishes his outing with back to back outs.  HCP would come up empty in the 7th with Joe Scott hitting a 1B.  Kreigh Hirschy would come on in relief  to pitch well in the 7th.  HCP miscues aided the Pirates plating 3-R's in the 7th & another R in the 8th to cut the HCP lead to 11-8.  Hirschy would start the 8th before Eric Teall comes on looking for a 5 out save opportunity.  Ryan Venturi would lead off the 9th with a big 2B to CF but HCP would go down in order following.  Teall would close the door on the Pirates in the 9th w/ a ground ball to 2B ending the game.  PHILLIES WIN!!

      HCP got going early w/ Ben Stenger leading off with a BB and then scoring after stealing 2B on a WP to put HCP up 1-0.  Chris Cole would 1B and would score on Eric Teall's RBI 2B.  Kyle Hutton would BB and Ryan Venturi & Joe Scott would each come up with RBI 1B putting HCP up 5-0 after 1.  Scott Kessler made his first start of the season on the mound and put the Rangers away 1-2-3 in the 1st.  Matt Longfellow would lead off the 2nd with a BB and would then round the bases on 3 straight WP.  Ben Stenger would BB again and would score on a WP, Chris Cole HBP, & Eric Teall would BB but would both be stranded.  Kesser would BB 2 batters but would pick up a big K to turn the Rangers away in the 2nd.  HCP led 7-0 after 2 but would go down 1-2-3 in the 3rd.  The Rangers would plate 3 R's in the 3rd to cut the HCP lead to 7-3.  HCP would come up empty in the 4th and Kreigh Hirschy would come on in relief to pitch a scoreless inning w/ a K.  Eric Teall led off the 5th w/ a 1B and would score on a WP, Kyle Hutton would BB and score on a WP.  Ryan Venturi would BB and Jim Goodwin would 1B w/ both scoring on Matt Longfellow's 2-RBI 2B putting HCP up 11-3.  Rangers would plate 3-R's in the 5th to cut the lead to 11-6 as Hirschy recorded the first two outs before having to leave due to illness.  Matt Longfellow would come on to pick up a K to turn the Rangers away in the 5th.  In the 6th Scott Kessler would 1B and score on Chris Cole's RBI 3B (2nd of the season).  Cole would score on Eric Teall's SAC-Fly RBI and Teall would score on Ryan Venturi's SAC-Fly RBI putting HCP up 14-6.  Ben Stenger would make his 2015 debut on the mound w/ a perfect 6th inning w/ a K.  Jim Goodwin would lead off the 7th w/ a 1B and would score on Jeremy Martin's RBI 2B.  Martin would score on Ben Stenger's RBI 1B.  Scott Kessler would then 1B, and Chris Cole would score Stenger with an RBI 1B.  Eric Teall would then bring in Kessler w/ another SAC-Fly RBI putting HCP up 18-6.  Ben Stenger would BB two batters but would then sit the Rangers down 1-2-3 w/ a ground ball to Eric Teall at 1B who flipped the ball to Stenger to record the final out.  PHILLIES WIN!!

HC PHILLIES DEFEAT THE INDIANAPOLIS CARDINALS 16-5 ON SUNDAY, JUNE 14th @ RONCALLI HS TO IMPROVE TO 5-0 ON THE 2015 IBL SEASON!!

      HCP came up empty in the top of the 1st inning vs John Simpson and the Indianapolis Cardinals defense.  Kreigh Hirschy made his 1st career IBL & HCP start as the Cardinals would plate 1-R in the bottom of the 1st.  HCP trailed for one of the first times this season but would come to life in the 2nd.  Joe Scott, Jim Goodwin, & Matt Longfellow would all 3 reach base to load the bases for Scott Kessler's 2-RBI 2B off the LF wall to put HCP up 2-1.  Chris Cole would then come through w/ a 2-RBI 1B followed by Matt Pulley's 2-RBI 1B scoring Cole and Eric Teall who singled to put HCP up 6-1 in the 2nd.  Hirschy would pitch a scoreless 2nd for HCP.  Both teams would come up empty in the 3rd.  In the 4th HCP would get rolling again as Ryan Venturi would pick up a 2-RBI 3B and Venturi would score on Kyle Hutton's RBI 1B.  Jeremy Martin would pick up an RBI 1B in the 4th as well to put HCP up 10-1.  The Cardinals would plate 3 R's in the bottom of the 4th to cut the HCP lead to 10-4 after 4.  HCP would come up empty in the 5th and 6th innings. Eric Teall would come on in relief to pitch a scoreless 5th w/ 2-K's while Scott Kessler came on to pitch the 7th as the Cardinals would plate 1-R to cut the HCP lead to 10-5.  HCP came back to life in the 7th as Joe Scott & Jim Goodwin would reach on 1B's and Matt Longfellow would pickup an RBI 1B putting HCP up 11-5.  Ben Stenger would pickup and RBI 1B, Chris Cole picked up a SAC-FLY RBI, Matt Pulley an RBI 1B as HCP scored 6 R's in the top of the 7th to increase the lead to 16-5.  Kessler would pitch a scoreless 7th inning w/ a line drive to SS Ben Stenger to end the game due to time limit after 7.

      HCP had quite a few star's of the day w/ 6 players having multi-hit games vs the Cardinals on Sunday.  Kreigh Hirschy looked sharp in his 1st career IBL start going 4.0 IP allowing 4R, 6H, 5BB, & K.

HC Phillies strike early on offense vs the Indy Howl on Sunday, June 7th at Guerin Catholic HS in Noblesville.  Ben Stenger woul lead off with a 1B, Scott Kessler & Chris Cole would both be HBP to load the bases.  Eric Teall would hit a 2-RBI 2B scoring Stenger and Kessler to put HCP up 2-0.  Matt Pulley would hit a laser beam HR over the RF wall, a 3-RBI HR and Pulley's first career IBL HR putting HCP up 5-0.  Cole and Teall would score on Pulley's HR.  Ryan Venturi and Kyle Hutton would both BB and Jim Goodwin would 1B to load the bases.  Ben Stenger would pick up an RBI HBP to put HCP up 6-0 in the 1st.  Matt Pulley would make his 2nd start on the mound as the Howl would plate 2-R's in the 1st w/ just 1 earned run allowed by Pulley.  Chris Cole and Eric Teall would lead of the 2nd both w/ 1B's.  Ryan Venturi would then BB to load the bases.  Kyle Hutton came through with a big 2-RBI 1B to put HCP up 8-2 scoring Cole and Teall.  Scott Kessler would BB followed by Matt Longfellow's RBI 1B scoring Venturi and Ben Stenger's RBI 1B scoring Hutton putting HCP up 10-2 in the 2nd.  Pulley would pitch a scoreless 2nd w/ a K.  Chris Cole remains hot at the plate w/ a lead off 3B in the 3rd, Cole's 1st career IBL 3B.  Eric Teall would hit a SAC-FLY RBI scoring Cole to put HCP up 11-2.  Matt Pulley would 1B in the 3rd as well.  In the 3rd the Howl would plate 2 more R's (both unearned) cutting the HCP lead to 11-4.  HCP would come up empty in the 4th as Matt Longfellow would BB and Scott Kessler HBP.  Pulley cruised through the 4th with a pair of K's on the mound.  Ben Stenger would BB to lead off the 5th and Scott Kessler would bring in Stenger w/ a big RBI 2B.  Chris Cole and Eric Teall would follow w/ RBI 2B's as HCP hits 3 consecutive RBI 2B's to increase their lead to 14-5 in the 5th.  Pulley would finish his outing with a scoreless 5th putting himself in line for his 3rd W of the season going 5.0 IP w/ 6H, 1ER, 0BB, & 4-K's.  HCP would go down 1-2-3 in the 6th.  Kreigh Hirschy came on in relief in the 6th as the Howl would plate a R to cut the HCP lead to 14-5.  HCP went down 1-2-3 again in the 7th.  Hirschy would pitch a scoreless 7th with a pair of K's.  Scott Kessler would lead off the 8th w/ a 2B and would score on Chris Cole's RBI-1B.  Cole would then score on a WP.  Eric Teall (HBP), Matt Pulley (1B), & Kyle Hutton (BB) would all reach to load the bases but would not score.  Matt Longfellow would come on to pitch a scoreless 8th inning w/ a K as Jim Goodwin would make a highlight reel diving catch in CF to end the game just like Chris Cole's diving catch earlier in the game.  HCP defeats the Indy Howl 16-5.

      Reigning Cy Young award winner Eric Teall would be the star of the day for HCP after making his 2nd start of the season on the mound with 4.0 1 H shutout innings w/ 7 K's to pace the Phil's defense.  Teall would remain hot at the plate as well going 4-5 to lead the HCP offense on Sunday!!  HCP got off to another slow start offensively while Teall struck out the side in the 1st as the game remained scoreless after 3.  Matt Longfellow would lead off the 4th w/ a BB, followed by Ben Stenger's 1B.  Scott Kessler would score Longfellow w/ an RBI 1B to put HCP up 1-0 followed by Eric Teall's 2-RBI 1B & Brett Hartmann's 2-RBI 2B in the gap.  After Teall pitched a scoreless 4th HCP led 5-0.  HCP would go up 7-0 in the 5th on Scott Kessler's RBI 1B (1 of 2 on the game).  Kreigh Hirschy made his IBL & HCP debut and pitched well.  After going up 7-0 HCP would allow the Bandits to score 5 R's in the 5th & 6th to cut the HCP lead to 8-5.  HCP added 4 R's in the 7th off of Chris Cole's 2-RBI 2B & Eric Teall's RBI 2B.  Matt Pulley would relieve Chris Cole in the 7th to record back to back outs turning the Bandits away in the 7th but not before the Bandits scored 2-R's to cut the lead to 12-7 after 7.  Matt Zenk picked up his first career IBL base hit and Matt Longfellow would hit an RBI 1B as HCP increased the lead to 14-7 in the 8th.  Matt Pulley would pitch a 1-2-3 8th inning followed by HCP plating 5 more R's in the top of the 9th.  Scott Kessler would close the door on the Bandits in the 9th finishing w/ a K and line out to Chris Cole at SS to end the game. 

      Eric Teall leads the way for HCP going 4-5 w/ 2-1B, 2-2B, 4-R, 3-RBI, & SB while going 4.0 IP w/ 0R, 0BB, 1H, & 7 K's on the mound.  Teall is now batting .786 on the season!!

Joe Scott: 2-4 w/ BB, 2-1B, R, & RBI. 

Matt Zenk:  2-5 w/ 2-1B (1st career IBL H), R, & 2-K's. 

Chris Cole: 1-3 w/ 2-BB, 2B, 3-R, 2-RBI, SB, & K. 

Brett Hartmann: 1-4 w/ BB, 2B, R, 2-RBI, & K. 

Matt Longfellow & Frank Cole each had RBI-1B, Ben Stenger added 1B & 2-R's, & Ryan Venturi added 2-RBI as HCP plated 19 R's on 20 H's vs the Bandits on Sunday. 

Following Teall's 4.0 SHO IP w/ the start, Kreigh Hirschy goes 1.2 IP, Chris Cole 0.2 IP, Matt Pulley goes 1.2 scoreless IP, & Scott Kessler 1.0 scoreless IP combining to hold the Bandits to 7 R's on 7 H's. 

    HCP improves to 3-0 on the 2015 IBL season and will now have two weekends in a row off to celebrate Memorial Day 2015!!  HCP will not return to action until Sunday, June 7th vs the (1-2) Indy Howl @ Guerin Catholic HS in Noblesville!!  First pitch will be at 12:30pm EDT!!
