TWIMC,
Reading the last bulletin board entry I noticed that the suggestion of how and when to get your website player profile/photo updated wasn't updated. Here you go...
Players that would like to update or create their player profile on the league website (including photo) should go to Haverty Field between 12:00PM and 12:30PM on Saturday. This, of course, will be if the weather permits. We will be closing the field office at 12:30, so you'll have to wait until another week if you're late! Since this is a playoff game, you should consider the fact that you might not be scheduled to play anymore games this season...

TWIMC,
We are arranging to have several local media organizations attending our championship game on March 3rd. This will be an excellent opportunity to get some good publicity for our league. The operative phrase would be "good publicity". There are certain behaviors that occur regularly on the field that we're going to be trying to readjust during the remaining games before the championship event. These "adjustments" aren't actually any new policies, just old ones that we've all kind of relaxed about. Basically:
1) We can not allow any illegal substances on the field. That does include alcohol(city ordinance).
2) Disrespectful language will not be tolerated. This includes profanity and anything derogatory or antagonistic in nature.
Especially if it is directed at the officials.
Thanks for your co-operation. See everyone on the field...
Players that would like to update or create their player profile on the league website (including photo) should go to Haverty Field between 10:00AM and 10:30AM on any given Saturday that games are scheduled. This, of course, will be if the weather permits. We will be closing the field office at 10:30 every weekend, so you'll have to wait until another week if you're late!

TWIMC,
Players may have noticed that the lines on the field were extremely faded on Saturday. We are going to repaint sometime during next week and could definitely use some help. At any rate, since the team fees have not been paid in full, purchasing the paint will put our funds to finish the season at next to zero. Please make sure that your team gets your team fee paid or we may have to cancel some games to adjust for lack of funds. I'll be in touch with the captains before next Saturday.
Thanks for everyone's help out on the field this season so far. As always, we'll need some help officiating again, especially during the first game! See everyone on the field...

TWIMC,
Since the first game this Saturday is between the two Clearlake teams, I really need help with officiating from the 'traveling' teams this week. Please seriously consider coming out to Haverty Field early(around 10:30am) to give the players of that first game a better quality game. We 're already down one referee, probably for the rest of the season. Being short handed on the ref crew causes the same effect as being short players on your team!
People are either forgetting what I've said about the proceedure to challenge a call or they're ignoring the proceedure. Either way, you guys are making it too f#@%ing stressful on the officials during the game using the "everyone who disagrees with what they think they heard, start yelling their opinion at the ref" technique. Personally I am so tired of it I'm not sure that I'll be out on the field next season.

TWIMC,
During one of the games played in week 4, there was an incident involving a challenge that was made on one of the calls made during that game. My reaction, caused by the frustration of the breakdown in communication, was inappropriate. I apologize for that, and am determined to not let it happen again. The breakdown in communication occurred because "proper procedure" was not used when the afore mentioned challenge was issued. So, for those of you who are not aware of this procedure, it is as follows:
If a team wishes to challenge a call made by officials, that team must designate ONE player who will discuss the challenge using the following format;
Discussion will be conducted in presence of ALL officials and ONE member of each team. Using a copy of league rules, they will discuss the play in question and let the head official change the ruling if group majority agreement allows. If more than one player on either team attempts to become "involved", a penalty may be accessed to that players team at ANY officials discretion.
This is the procedure that is supposed to have been used since its inception two seasons ago. Please familiarize yourselves with it and follow it on the field during games to help prevent future breakdowns in communication which upset the rhythm of the games.
Thank you...

TWIMC,
The officiating crew asked us to comment on the good behavior of most of the players involved in both matchups on Saturday. Because almost everyone cooperated with us on most of the calls, both games ran smoother. The one game that ran too long was actually due more to the fact that both teams had many new to the league players, and there were many calls that required some discussion. That type of activity is preferred, as opposed to the arguing that has stalled the rhythm of games in the past, and we expect to eventually subside. So, thanks to everyone for adjusting your attitudes as we have been requesting, it goes a long way towards encouraging the volunteer officiating crew to continue to stay involved in our league. The crew should be able to improve how they function with a healthier attitude themselves.
On that note, the need for trained chain crew personnel was exhibited during that first game, which also added to the longevity of that game. If anyone has any suggestions, other than simply volunteering yourself, on how to stabilize the crew, please feel free to get in touch with anyone on the staff!
We hope that everyone's Christmas and New Year celebrations are good, and we're looking forward to starting the action back up on Saturday(01/07/12). See everyone on the field...

TWIMC,
As a matter of procedure, any league policy or regulation changes that can be made have to happen as a result of majority vote from representatives (usually the captains) of all currently registered teams. Also, unless a unanimous vote is recorded, no changes will be allowed after a season begins. I felt compelled to clarify this due to a request to do so(make a change) after the games last weekend. Please keep this procedure in mind when "requesting" any future changes. Thank you.
There seems to be a relatively common team roster issue prevalent this season. Several teams have very sparse rosters. Since there is a policy in effect that prohibits a team from playing a game with less than 7 players, there appears to be the very distinct possibility that several forfeits may occur this season. It seems to me that those forfeits will undermine the integrity of sportsman like competition that we want to keep intact, as much as possible. I'd like to suggest that we all be willing to share our skills with any team in need to accomplish that goal. I'm sure that everyone can see how it's more important to get the league "healthy" so that there will be a valid championship to win...
Well, good luck to everyone next week. SEE EVERYONE ON THE FIELD!

TWIMC,
Our season got off to a spirited start! Great level of competition, yet good sportsmanship(for the most part). Still too many incidents of abusive behavior towards the volunteer referees. We're learning to do our best out there to get those calls right. Please try a little harder to respect that, and maybe we'll be willing to keep coming out to do this.
The schedule for week 2 and the rest of the season will be posted by Friday evening at the latest. We're hoping to add one more team to the league sometime this week. We will let everyone know as soon as possible.
Thanks to all the people that helped to groom the field last week. Your volunteer efforts are greatly appreciated! If we all are willing to put a little work in, this league will work!!
See everybody out on the field next Saturday...
