On Saturday, December 17, Agoura Baseball hosted past players to a home run derby and alumni game. This was the first time in several years (due to the pandemic) that this event could take place. It was great to see graduates from the 80's to last year, all together on the field. Coach Chev was grateful to see many of his boys back at home.
The home run derby ended in a 3 way tie...
Winners are pictured below: Tommy Tabak, Dexter Wilkerson, and our own coach Bryce Fehmel

The alumni game was a close one which ended with Varsity winning 7-6, thanks to Joey Blank's HR!
We had great showing on and off the field with many old friends and family members in the stands. We look forward to having these guys out again next year.

On Friday March 18, the Agoura Baseball team participated in our annual Hit-A-Thon fundraiser. Players were sponsored to hit up to 10 pitches. This year each graduating class competed in a series of skills competitions as well.
The events and winners were:
| Event | Winner |
| Speed Competition | 2023s |
| Cuts and Relays | 2022s |
| HR Derby | 2023s |
| - Most HRs | Joey Blank |
Congrats to the Class of 2023 on your Win!
Congrats and special thanks to Cooper Reyes for having the most sponsors and donations.
Collectively, we raised almost $17,000! The funds raised will continue to go towards the field maintenance and renovations that we have planned for this year. Both fields are seeing the benefits and we hope that the upgrades will contribute towards a positive experiece for all athletes and families who attend the games.

On Friday March 3, the Agoura Baseball program hosted the 12th annual Elka Golds Memorial MVP baseball game. This tradition partners the Varsity baseball players with a student within the school's special education program. JV players contributed as well, pitching and fielding balls.
The stands were filled with family and friends of the AHS student body. The AHS cheer team and the AHS Blue Crew Band performed, Principal McClay and Superintendent Stepenosky spoke, all showing support for this wonderful event.

Happy New Year! We are only weeks away from the start of the Spring season and so excited to get started. With 2021 behind us, we are looking forward to so many great things this year!
Here are some updates...
These projects could not have been accomplished without our wonderful community. We are so thankful for all the support that we have recieved over the last few months.

We just completed our largest community event of the year - the Annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser!
In the begining of the school year, many families inquired about whether or not we were going to hold this event. Everyone kept saying that they were THE BEST TREES and that it was our tradition! Although we had just completed one fundraiser, we couldn't disappoint our supporters.
In two weeks time, the AHS baseball players and families sold 150 trees and 150 wreaths and door swag! Our families also donated 30 trees and wreaths to be distributed to military families for this holiday season through the Trees for Troops program.
On Saturday December 4, the Varsity players met up at the AHS faculty parking lot to begin offloading the items from the truck. This truck drove through the night, directly from Oregon. Customers were already patiently waiting to collect their items as we were getting organized for delivery and distribution.
The day consisted of nearly 50 parent and athlete volunteers at various times to assist with organization, quality control, delivery and fresh cutting trees. JV and Frosh/Soph were instrumental in greeting customers and gathering their orders. This was truly a team effort.
Each year we do experience a few hiccups, but we continue to learn how to improve for the following year. We appreciate our returning and new customers for supporting the program. We hope that our customers enjoy the fresh cut, fresh smelling trees this holiday season.
We have been busy!
In this past month, we have completed the following projects on the Varsity field...
Added new infield dirt

Built a warning track

Enhanced and modified the irrigation
Painted the dugouts and fencing

This is all thanks to our friends and family members who continue to support the program. We still have a long way to go. Keep checking back to see how you can help.
Thank you!

It has been one month since we lanched our first fundraising campaign of the year. Through the LivingTree platform, our athletes contacted friends and familiy to collectively raise $18,000! This is a great start!
Each year, fundraising covers base costs of the program, umpires, and equipment replacement. We currently have plans to renovate the fields and dugouts in time for the spring season. It is our mission to contribute towards the success and the development of the Agoura High School baseball program and players and we thank all of our supporters in this effort.
