7/27/2013New Hockey ID Cards

Both the Anchorage Adult Hockey League (AAHL) and Subway League will be adopting a new hockey ID card starting with the fall session of the 2013-14 season. The cost to obtain the new ID card is $10 and must be purchased in person at AK Focus Photography on King Street. They are open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. The card will be printed on the spot and you will no longer be required to pick up the card from a specified rink. You may contact AK Focus Photography for further information by calling 245-3686.

ID cards will continue to be collected prior to each game and provided to the scorekeepers. The ID cards will be verified against the current roster on file with the league office. The goal of the ID cards is to prevent teams from starting non-rostered skaters. New ID cards and an updated computer system will help remove the counterfeit ID cards that currently exist and promote a more level playing field. Following each game, the ID cards will be returned to the team unless a skater is suspended for fighting or other rule violation as determined by the on ice officials.

5/6/20102010 Summer Session
The summer session is fast approaching. I am still working to update the website. This includes wrapping up details from the winter session as well as updating the roster and schedule for this summer. As you can see, the schedule is now posted. The majority of the roster has been updated but is not complete. I am still missing league forms and USA Hockey receipts from several skaters. Keep in mind that I must have this paperwork no later than Wednesday, May 12th or you will not play in the first game. If you have any questions, you know how to contact me.

Thanks,
-Michael

I have received the winter session schedule but I believe there is an error. I need to call Annetta and get this cleared up. However, our first game will be on December 15th, 2009 at 7:30pm at Demsey Anderson rink #1 vs. Video City.

9/8/2008Fall Team
Here is a review of some of the rules. Please read over them carefully as it is my job to get this information to you.

1. All players are required to have an ID card. Those who have an ID card from last season may use the same card. Players will not be allowed on the ice if they do not have their ID card at game time.

2. League management reserves the right to remove over skilled players from any team registered in the league.

3. No one (except goalies) can play on more than two teams in the Anchorage Adult Hockey League. Anyone violating this rule will lose the right to play on any team for the remainder of the season, and will not be entitled to a refund. Please note that players rostered on more than one team may only play one division up or down.

4. Any player that receives three penalties in a game is done for the rest of that game.

5. Any player that is removed from a game for fighting must sit his/her next two games with the team the penalty was received from. Those rostered on another team will be unable to participate with that team or any other team until the suspension has been completed. Any player receiving a match penalty will be required to attend a state discipline hearing.

6. Players in the Novice East and West divisions are only permitted to score three goals per game.

7. Players in the Novice East and West divisions are required to wear a full face mask. No exceptions.

8/3/2008Out of Town
I will be out of town August 5-20. Please recruit players for the fall session while I am gone. All remaining paperwork/money will be collected the week I return.
