THE CACTUS STARS HAVE QUALIFIED TO HEAD TO USTA 18 AND UNDER SECTIONS ON JULY 31 THRU AUG. 2.

 

THE CACTUS STARS ARE A HIGH SCHOOL TEAM OF HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS FROM FIVE DIFFERENT

HIGH SCHOOL IN THE TUCSON AREA.

July 18  Cactus Stars & Sunsets travel to Nogales to take on the Nogales Apache Tennis Team

Three Teams will compete against the Nogales Club:

 Ages 12 and Under Boys & Girls

 Ages 14 and Under Boys & Girls

 Ages 18 and Under Boys & Girls

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

Ten and Under Tennis is played on a 60' x 21' Court

with an Orange ball that has reduced bounce.

 

Advantage of Playing Orange Ball for 10 & Under Players

* Lower Bounce Keeps Ball at Young Player Hitting Zone

* Longer Rally between Players because ball is not flying

   off court all the time

* Easier for Player to develop techniques and tactics

* Serve easier to control and develop a service swing

There is a 10 and under tournament every month in the Tucson Area
