Next Tournament is at Wasilla Middle School

Varsity will wrestling Friday January 26, and JV will wrestle January 27.  Check with your wrestler regarding information.  If you don't see anything from your wrestler, please check your email as there is information sent via email.  If you would like to be added to the email list, please send an email to Coach Jered Kemp at [email protected]  He can add you to the disribution list. 

Fundraiser

The PJMS wrestling team is currently selling raffle tickets for $3.00 a ticket.  The drawing will help pay for team shirts and travel to Fairbanks for state.  1st place drawing is for an Apple watch and the 2nd place drawing is for $50.00.  Each wrestler is encouraged to sell 1 book of 10.  All tickets sold and unsold should be turned in at practice on Feb 8.  The drawing will be held on February 10 at he PJMS tournament.

PJMS Tournament

The PJMS tournament is on February 9th & 10th.  It is the largest middle school tournament of the season.  Parent participation is needed and greatly appreciated.  As part of hosting a tournament we request all of the PJMS families help.  PJMS will need to host and stock the hospitality room.  Please consider helping in the hospitality room.  All families are encouraged to bring something for the hospitality room.  Items needed are muffins, bagels and cream cheese, cookies, crockpot meals, veggie or meat trays, chips, etc.

This is a big week for the Moose Wrestlers

We will need lots of support this weekend. Volunteers, donations and great Palmer Moose Fans to come together and make this weekends tournament the best in the Valley! We have teams coming in from all over the state to showcase their skills against our wrestlers. After a solid showing against the Fairbanks teams, it will be nice to see the large team from Kodiak and hopefully, Bethel, along with Glennallen, Valdez, Anchorage and the other teams that will join us for another week of competion and fun! PLEASE PUT THIS WEEKEND ON YOUR CALENDERS AND SEE TRENT FARRIS ,IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON HOW YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP OUT. The team is great with all of us working together!

We will be preparing a fundraising breakfast as well as hosting a post tournament dinner on Saturday February 16th. The breakfast will be right after Varsity weigh-ins, the dinner at the conclusion of the tournament Saturday evening. In addition to the list of volunteers necessary to pull off this tournament, Hospitality, table workers, ect. We could use a few supporters to help Jill Farris [email protected] and Susan Fouch [email protected], in any way you might be able. We will attempt to secure donations of some food items,any help with this is appreciated, use of large scale cooking/serving items, help preparing and serving the meals and transport and clean-up. Some possible menu items for breakfast are pancakes,biscuits and gravy, eggs, breakfast meats, juice and milk. For dinner a potluck style Mexican Fiesta has been suggested. The dinner will be free to the volunteers and few teams who will be camping out at the school. We have been on the receiving end of great hosting from Kodiak recently (MYFA) football, and Valdez, lets try to return the favor with a warm welcome, a couple of meals and a great weekend tournament for all!
