Seminoles ace pitchers Parker Asmann (Photo Left) and Joey Vecchione (Photo Right) each throw complete game victories to lead the Seminoles to another 1st Place Division Title at the Perfect Game BCS World Series in Fort Myers, Florida.  

Parker Asmann throws a complete game shut out to defeat the Chattanooga Cherokees 3-0 and Joey Vecchione also throws a complete game gem defeating the Florida Pokers 4-3. Both victories at the Boston Red Sox facility in Florida, advanced the Seminoles to the third round Elite 16 of the Perfect Game BCS Finals.

 
 
Seminoles Parker Asmann and Mike Lutz star at the Under Armour All American Game in Arizona.

Seminoles Captain Parker Asmann for the second consecutive season stars at the Under Armour All American Game in Arizona. Asmann a six year starter and captain for the Seminoles continues to be recognized as one of the top 2011 pitching prospects around and has already received a big scholarship to the University of Evansville. The continued rising star of the class of 2012 is Seminoles ace pitcher Mike Lutz. At this event Lutz stole the show and impressed featuring a consistent fastball clocked at 90+ MPH and had command of all 3 of his pitches. Seminoles Eddie Szarkowicz (photo left) throws 4 shut out innings on the mound and Seminoles star catcher AJ Nuefeld (Photo right) hits a walk off 2 run homerun to defeat Florida's Sarasota Baseball Club 7-5. Seminoles Kinsella Signs With University of Illinois Springfield!!!

Seminoles starting left fielder and middle relief pitcher KJ Kinsella signs with the University of Springfield. Coach Gangler said, "Kinsella has been a team leader and one of the hardest workers on our National Team over the last 3 seasons. KJ will again be a big part of our 2011 Seminoles National Team." Kinsella will join teammate Tyler Lau at Illinois Springfield as both players received impressive scholarships.

 

 

 

Seminoles All American Pitcher Parker Asmann signs at the University of Evansville!!!

Asmann a 6 year Captain for the Seminoles is recognized as the most successful pitcher in Illinois over the past 5 seasons. He's been a big part of the Seminoles 5 CABA State Championships, 2 National Championship appearences, and many additional big tournament championships each year all around the country. Asmann's impressive scholarship to Evansville is a credit to his work ethic and ability to succeed on the National level each and every season. Stay Tuned for more updates!!!

 

 

 

Seminoles Tyler Lau signs with the University Illinois Springfield!!!  

Seminoles gold glove outfielder Tyler Lau sports a .460 batting average and was second on the team in total extra base hits this fall season. Lau also just commited to play his college baseball at the University Illinois Springfield. He will continue to be the Seminoles 2011 starting right fielder opening day in Florida, as the team looks to repeat as tournament champions at the President's Day Tournament in Cocoa Beach, Florida this winter!!!

 

 

 

Seminoles Star Infielder Michael Vilardo Commits To Sign At The University of Richmond!!!

Seminoles Captain Kevin Colburn signs on to play at the University of Dayton. 

Congratulations to Seminoles Team Captain and star 3rd Baseman Kevin Colburn on receiving a very impressive scholarship from the University of Dayton. This year Colburn will be entering his 6th season as Seminoles Captain and starting 3rd Baseman. Kevin is recognized as one of the top all around infielders and power hitters in the entire Midwest. Colburn is already the 5th D1 player signed in the class of 2011 for the Seminoles Team. In 2011, Carl will be entering his 3rd consecutive season as the Seminoles starting center fielder. Sugihara is recognized as one of the top all around outfielders in the state.

Seminoles Star Matt Williams Named Presidents Day Tournament MVP

Seminoles Matt Williams named the Presidents Day Tournament MVP. Williams had a .688 batting average (11 for 16 at the plate) in the 5 tournament victories. Including 5 doubles, HR, and 10 RBI's. Matt also played a gold glove right field. Congratulations to Matt and to the entire Seminoles Team on this very impressive tournament championship!!!

Seminoles Left Handed Pitcher Anthony Milazzo Throws a Complete Game Victory at the Perfect Game WWBA Tournament in Florida!!!

Milazzo's complete game 3-2 victory against the Florida Academy advanced the Seminoles  to the playoff round at the Perfect Game WWBA National Tournament. The tournament featured 100 of the top teams from around the country with only 25 teams advancing to the championship playoff round. Anthony impressed the scouts in attendance throwing a complete game recording 9 k's and only allowing 2 runs in the victory. In 2009, Anthony pitched on the varsity team as a sophomore at Addison Trail HS and was the teams top pitcher posting 7 victories. Milazzo will be a big part of the Seminoles 2010 starting pitching rotation. Seminoles Star 1st Baseman Mike Herrmann Receives Top Honors!!!

Seminoles 5 Year Starter Mike Herrmann continues to star on the National Level and is one of the Seminoles top all around players. The photo to the left is a game at Flyers Stadium this Fall where Mike went 4 for 5 at the plate and had 6 RBI's. Photo to the right is of Mike's HR at the Perfect Game Midwest Showcase this August in Cedar Rapids, IA. Herrmann was the only player to hit a HR in this wood bat event over the 370 foot fence. Mike along with star shortstop Matt Anderson were both selected to the Perfect Games Top Prospect Team at this prestigious event! This list features 20 of the top prospects in the entire Midwest. 16U Seminoles Win the CABA State Championship With A 2-0 Victory in the Championship Game against the Illinois Sparks!

The 16U Schaumburg Seminoles win the CABA State Championship!!! The Seminoles went a perfect 5-0 in the tournament. 3 consecutive shutout victories recorded by 3 of the teams ace pitchers. The Seminoles won 3-0 over the Longshots Baseball lead by Nick Bates who threw a complete game shutout. In the semi final game Anthony Ciango threw a shutout to defeat Hammond 6-0. In the championship game Parker Asmann threw another shutout. Asmann dominated the game from start to finish as the Seminoles won the State Championship game 2-0 over the Illinois Sparks. The offense was led all tournament by 3rd baseman Kevin Colburn and 1st Baseman Mike Herrmann. On Monday Joe Belmonte and Matt Anderson provided the offense delivering big homeruns in the playoff victories. This is the Seminoles 4th consecutive State Championship!!! Congratulations to the entire team and coaching staff on another great accomplishment. 

 

 

 

 

Winning Pitcher Parker Asmann throws a Complete Game in the CABA State Championship!!!

Seminoles ace pitcher Parker Asmann throws a complete game 2 hit shutout in the state championship game to give the Seminoles their 4th consecutive state championship!!! Asmann dominated the game from start to finish recording 9 strikeouts and only allowing 2 hits. The Seminoles win the CABA State Championship game 2-0 over the Illinois Sparks behind the right arm of the best big game pitcher in the state Parker Asmann.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

COLBURN Continues To Impress On The National Level For The Seminoles Each And Every Game.

Seminoles star 3rd baseman Kevin Colburn continues to put up monster offensive numbers at the plate. Last weekend in Cincinnati Colburn hit 2 HR's both easily clearing the centerfield 400 foot  fence. Kevin's bat along with his gold glove at 3rd base will be a big part of the Seminoles National Championship run this July at the CABA Nationals in Georgia. Next up for Colburn and the Seminoles is a game against the Fox Valley Royals on Tuesday June 23rd at 4:15 at Schaumburg Flyers Stadium!!! Stay Tuned for more updates!!!


16U Seminoles Win Season Opener At Flyers Stadium!!!

The Seminoles National Team wins their home opener 8-4 over the Illinois Indians at Flyers Stadium. The Seminoles were led by winning pitcher K.J. Kinsella who threw 5 very strong innings in the win. KJ also had 2 big hits driving in 3 runs. Seminoles star 1st Baseman Mike Herrmann had 2 big rbi's and played another flawless game at 1st Base in the victory. Nick Bates pitched 2 solid innings in relief and continues to impress everytime he steps on the mound. Another great team effort in the 8-4 victory.

 


 

 

Matt Anderson leads the Seminoles to 5 Wins in Cocoa Beach Tournament!

Matt Anderson
 was the teams top hitter in the tournament going 12 for 19 (.630 batting average) in the 6 games including a Grandslam against the ECTB Stars. Coach Gangler has stated, "Over the last two seasons with a great work ethic, attitude and skill level Matt has become one of the top middle infield prospects in the country. His ability to swing the bat left handed with a high batting average and for extra base power puts him at the head of the class. Matt has also become a team leader as he continues to play a gold glove shortstop on the national level for our team every game."

Seminoles star Parker Asmann has been recognized as one of the top pitchers in the country over the last 3 seasons. Over the last 3 seasons Asmann has recorded an impressive 42-7 record with 8 saves and 2.70 ERA on the national level for the Seminoles. See the article on the main page for details on many of Parker's key wins on the mound over the last 3 seasons.

 

 

Seminoles 16U National 1st Baseman Mike Herrmann.

Seminoles star 1st Baseman Mike Herrmann delivered a big 2008 season at the plate and in the field. Mike has lead the team in fielding % now for the last 3 seasons. A sure handed steady 1st Baseman that has improved each year in the program. In 2008 Herrmann was also at the top of many offensive categories including HR's and RBI's. Mike also impressed at the Evansville Showcase Tournament at Evansville University this fall in October!  Herrmann will again be a big part of the Seminoles National Championship run in 2009!

 

 

 

 

 

Seminoles Announce 25 Home Games on the 2009 Schedule at Alexian Field-Flyers Stadium!

Schaumburg Seminoles will again host games at Alexian Field home of  the Schaumburg Flyers. All seven Seminole Teams will host many games at Flyers Stadium in 2009. The 16U Seminoles National Teams home opener will be at Flyers Stadium on June 1st at 5:30 vs Illinois Indians and at 8:00 vs Illinois Sparks. Stay Tuned for the complete 2009 schedule!

 

 

Seminoles Add Top Outfielder Carl Sugihara to their National Team!
The 2009 16U Seminoles National Team has announced the addition of outfielder Carl Sugihara to their 2009 Team. Sugihara played on the Elk Grove HS Varsity team in 2008 as a Freshman. He also was the starting outfielder and lead-off hitter for the Highwood Braves. Coach Gangler has said Sugihara was one of the top outfielders at the 15U level in 2008. That's high praise and Sugihara looks to be a key addition to the teams already talented outfield defense. He can also swing the bat well and brings even more speed to the line-up. Carl is an impact all around player. Stay tuned for more updates!

 

 

Kevin Colburn Stars at Florida Showcase!

Seminoles stars Kevin Colburn, Parker Asmann, and Matt Anderson all impress at the Tiger Town Showcase in Lakeland, Florida on November 8th and 9th. Colburn put on his own hitting clinic hitting 4 Homeruns in Sunday's Event. Each Homerun easily cleared the 400 foot fence at the Detroit Tigers facility. Many college coaches couldn't believe that Colburn was only a sophomore class of 2011. Mike Martin (Florida St.) Brent Walsh (Charleston) and Larry Day (Vanderbilt) were raving about Colburn's ability at the plate. Seminoles CY Young Award Winner Parker Asmann was one of the top pitching prospects at the showcase. Gold Glove Award Winner and Seminoles starting shortstop Matt Anderson impressed with his middle infield skills all weekend as well. The Alabama coaching staff was very impressed with both Seminole star players poise and ability on the mound and in the infield. Seminole Nation was very well represented and in attendance in Florida at this major college showcase. Seminoles President And Head Coach Russ Gangler Enters His 9th Season In 2009 Running The Seminoles National Program! Gangler Is Considered By Colleagues As Being One Of The Top Coaches In The Country.

Russ Gangler enters his 9th season in 2009 as Seminoles President and Head Coach. Coach Gangler has led the Seminoles to two National Championships in 2004 and 2005 .  Russ has also been recognized with top honors by TBS as being one of the top coaches in the country.  In 2008 Gangler coached the 15U Seminoles to the National Championship game and a 2nd Place finish at the 48 Team CABA World Series Tournament. This year under Gangler's leadership the Seminoles will have a total of 7 teams in their National Program. Russ be the Head Coach of the 13U and 16U National Teams in 2009!

 


 

 

Seminoles Star Infielder Matt Anderson

Matt won a gold glove award in 2008 as the Seminoles starting shortstop. Great foot work, a solid arm, to go along with a tremendous work ethic puts him as one of the top 2011 middle infield prospects in the country. Anderson was also at the top of many of the teams offensive categories, a clutch 2 strike hitter that has emerged as one of the teams top all around players. He was selected to the Travel Ball Select 2011 Top Prospect list. A prestigous list and honor that recognizes the top players in the country. Matt was also selected to the CABA World Series All Tournament Team this season as he impressed in the National Championship game.

 

 


15U Seminoles Win the 16U Kankakee Invitational Tournament!

The 15U Seminoles go a perfect 4-0 to win the 16U Kankakee Invitational Showcase Tournament at Kankakee College this weekend. The Seminoles were led by outstanding pitching performances by Parker Asmann, Joe Sturino, and Brendon Hayden. All 3 pitchers impressed the Kankakee University Coaching staff.  Brendon Hayden was clocked at 86 to 87 MPH on the mound in the championship game by Todd Post Head Coach at Kankakee College. The Seminoles offense scored 53 runs in the 4 victories also.  Much more info on the way on another impressive tournament championship for the Seminoles Team.


15U Seminoles Win Slugfest Tournament!
The 1 seed Schaumburg Seminoles defeat the 2 seed Naperville Renegades 4-3 in a fantastic championship game. The Seminoles went a perfect 6-0 to win the Slugfest Tournament. Wins against the Kenosha Bobcats 5-0, LITH Thunder 10-2, and Orland Park Sparks 11-2 in divisional play. In the Playoff round wins over the Bloomingdale Travelers 9-1, Kenosha Bobcats 10-1, and the Naperville Renegades 4-3. The championship game was a classic going 10 innings. Great pitching from 3 of the Seminoles ace pitchers Parker Asmann, Brendon Hayden, and Evan Masters in the championship game victory. The offense was lead by Matt Anderson who had two big hits and drove in the teams first 3 runs. The game winning hit was delivered by Charley Gould in the bottom of the tenth. Gould also had two big hits in the game including the game winner in the 10th. Kevin Colburn had a great game at the plate in the title game and continues to impress in the clean up spot in the order. The Seminoles scored an impressive 49 runs and only allowed 9 runs in the 6 victories. Congrats to Seminoles catcher Brenden Dunleavy on being selected by TBS as one of the top 10 ranked catching prospects in the country going into the 2008 season. Dunleavy had a great 2007 season for the Seminoles as the teams gold glove starting catcher. The catching combination of Dunleavy and Gould should be one of the best in the country in 2008. Dunleavy will have the responsibility again this year of catching one of the most talented pitching staffs in the country.

The 14u Seminoles repeat as Champions at the Cincy Flames Classic National Tournament in Dayton, OH.
The Seminoles go a perfect 6-0 to win the Cincy Flames Tournament. The Seminoles offense was led by Kevin Colburn  who continues to drive in big runs every game. In the championship game the Seminoles bats continued to shine. Tournament MVP Parker Asmann was 2 for 3 and was an impressive 11 for 18 at the plate for the entire tournament. Luke Venegoni had a 3 hit game in the championship including a big RBI triple in the second inning and winning pitcher Ben Mahar threw 4 strong innings to help the Seminoles to a 13-1 victory over the Middie Pride (OH) in the championship game.
