AUTHORITY

WVBNY staff have authority over the premises, the facilities, the equipment, and over player and spectator conduct. Entry privileges may be removed if a player or spectator refuses to comply with any policy or any directions from WVBNY staff.

 

POLICY WVBNY’s policy with respect to violent or threatening conduct is, in part or whole, as follows: Players and spectators are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for everyone. Acts of violence or threatening behavior, either explicit or veiled, physical or verbal, are unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the league. This includes harassment, intimidation, and other confrontational or disruptive behavior. All reports of incidents will be taken seriously and will be dealt with appropriately.

 

DEFINITIONS

WVBNY defines threatening behavior this way: Threatening Behavior is an individual’s threat, either overt or implied, physical or verbal, to commit an act of physical aggression or harm. Examples include, but are not limited to: -Threats to cause bodily harm to another person (including confrontational or other aggressive behavior); and -Unusual, bizarre, or menacing behavior or statements that a reasonable person would interpret as carrying the potential for violent acts.

 

RESOLUTION

WVBNY resolves incidents according to its Resolution policy, which is, in part or whole, as follows: Any player or spectator who engages in violent or threatening behavior may be banned from league premises, programs, and activites. A determination will be made as to the duration of the ban. WVBNY reserves the right to take any additional, further, or different action with regard to any incident.
