2017 Tornadoes Summer Travel Team Tryout Schedule
Note:  There is no fee for travel tryouts. All girls who wish to tryout must register to tryout by following the appropriate link below.

 

  1. September 20-22, 2016 (by division)
     
  2. Saturday, November 5, 2016 - 12pm - 2pm
     
  3. Sunday, March 12, 2017 - 3pm - 5pm - Chamberlain Elementary School - 500 Norton Ave
     
    1. 8U (2008 or 2009) - Roster Spots Available - Team Manager Needed - Please send an email to Mike Peckman if you are interested in managing this team.
    2. 10U (2006 or 2007) - Full Roster
    3. 12U (2004 or 2005) - Full Roster
    4. 14U (2002 or 2003 or 2004) - 2 Roster Spots.  Please send an email to Mike Peckman if you would like to tryout to play on this team.
    5. 18U (1998, 1999, 2000 or 2001) - Team will Form End of April / Early May
      First tournament is June 23-25.  Summer Hock Games Begin June 19th.
      Team Manager Needed - Please send an email to Mike Peckman if you are interested in managing this team.

AGE DIVISIONS

8U, 10U, 12U, 14U & 18U
One weekend team per age group.

 

2017 Managers:

TRYOUTS REQUIRED Yes, registration is required to attend tryouts.
PLAYER COMMITMENT Winter Indoor Training: Minimum 1 practice per week*

Spring: Weekly practices*
Spring Rec Teams are players' priority.

Tournaments: 3 - 6+ per Summer (local travel - overnight possible but up to the manager)*
Participation in USA Softball States, Regionals & Nationals*
REGISTRATION COST
(includes 2 uniforms - jersey and pants)

 
$125 (registration fee) + $75 (meat on a stick tix - player reimbursed) = $200 Total due to the league
(includes a $50 non-refundable deposit required at travel player signing registration to hold a spot on a team.  There is no fee for travel tryouts.)

FUNDRAISING OBLIGATIONS
  • $75 Meat on a Stick - Sell 5 $15 tickets
  • Tagging - Each player must spend at least two hours tagging during travel tag day(s)
  • Home Tournament(s) - Each player must have at least one parent/guardian volunteer to work either concession stand, field duty or both during the home tournament weekend(s).
USA SOFTBALL TEAM CLASSIFICATION Teams will meet 2017 USA Softball "C" requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must play on a TGSL Recreational League team.

 

 

* Varies by age, team and manager.  Some teams may choose to do additional fundraising and play in more tournaments.
