Welcome to the 2018-2019 Trojans cross country season!

REMINDER: Mark your calendars for our first parent meeting: Wednesday, August 15, from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Westover Church of Christ, across the street from Anderson HS. We hope you'll come as we'll be sharing lots of important information for the upcoming year.

We encourage everyone to join the Trojans Cross Country Booster Club.
A limited amount of money is given to the team by AISD, with the remaining funds generated by fundraisers and family contributions. All contributions are tax deductible, and will be utilized to help pay for transportation, uniforms, athletic bags, uniform cleaning, and meet fees.

A Note From Coach Sanford

Hello Cross Country team members and parents,

The cross country season is off to a good start. The kids did an excellent job last week at practice. We had a large number of 9th grade boys and girls report, and the middle school kids are doing great. They are getting ready for the Lockhart meet when school starts. We are excited for the upcoming season.

Remember to hydrate the night before each practice. Note: we are currently accepting donations of water and Gatorade. Please drop the cases by Coach Sanford's office door. Please write a note that the supplies are for Coach Sanford - Cross Country.

The runners transitioned to the Lady Bird Trails this week. The runners will be there on Monday and Tuesday.

The Time Trials will be on Wednesday, August 8th. The Time Trial races begin at 8:00 a.m. with the high school runners going first. We will meet at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Zilker near the St. Andrews camp. Please look for Coach Sanford's truck with ice chest and cones.

We will walk over to Barton Springs Pool to swim after the time trials. Parents will pick up their runners at Barton Springs Pool. We will swim from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. The entry fee to the pool is $3.00.

We will return to Anderson High School for Thursday and Friday practices. We will meet on the track at 6:45 a.m.

Cross Country Team Yard Signs

Show your Trojan spirit by purchasing a personalized cross country yard sign! We're very fortunate to have Kathy Greer returning to handle the sign sales and delivery again this year. The signs will 18” X 24” with a metal stake. The signs and stakes are $20. The sign will look like the example on the right, but with your runner’s first name on it.

Your sign will be personally delivered by the yard sign delivery team!
