2021 Booster Club Information

Spring Valley Baseball 2021 Viking Baseball Booster Club

 

This letter is intended to outline the needs of the program that are supported by the booster club, the activities that the booster club coordinates and the need for family support of the program through the club.

 

To Start the Season:

  • To participate in any school sports, you pay $50 to the District. This is paid through the school. Coach will elaborate on this.
  • In support of the baseball program, there is a player fee of $100 per player ($200 max per family).
  • All families are encouraged to join the Booster Club. The Booster Club Membership form with various options is attached.

 

The Booster Club raises money during the year by:

  • Team Fee-each player (Feb)
  • Booster Club membership (Feb)
  • SV Baseball Sponsorships (Feb)-Attached is the form listing our sponsor levels. Sponsorship can be from as little as being a Booster Club Member to as much as

$750. Each family is asked to contact at least 3 possible sponsors. To be in the Baseball Yearbook, sponsorship information and a check must be delivered by February 20th.

  • Snap Raise (Feb/Mar)- solicitation of at least 25 people per player to support the program combined with the team completing a service project. In the past, this has raised more than $10,000.
  • Golf Tournament (October)- This has been a successful project that has raised more than $9,000
  • Boston Butt Sales (November)-Raised over $5,000
  • Concessions (all season)-each game will be run by all parents of players in the program. Due to Covid restrictions, we will not be opening the Concession Stand this year. 

 

What Booster Club money pays for:

  • Balls (practice and game)
  • Catchers’ Gear
  • Coaches’ Gear
  • New Backstop
  • Laser Leveling of the Field

 

  • Protective Screens
  • Batting Cage Improvements
  • Bullpen Improvement

 

The school/district funding is not enough to cover these expenses. Without your support and your efforts in the Booster Club, these essentials will never happen.

 

What we need from you by February 19th.

 

  1. Make sure your District Fee is paid.

  1. Commit to helping each of these projects throughout the year

A. We need to fill the spaces on working the score booth.

  1. If you are interested in helping in the booth for the season, let us know.
  2. After the meeting, we will send out sponsorship ideas. Please identify three potential Baseball Yearbook Sponsors and reach out for sponsorship support.
