AAU Basketball
The Goal: The Binghamton Bulldogs are entering their 10th season as one of the PREMIER AAU Basketball organizations in the Northeast Region.
Our top goal with the Bulldogs AAU basketball program is to bring together the top players in the Southern Tier in each age group, and field competitive teams made up of advanced players who are serious about basketball and allow them the chance to compete across the Northeast Region against other top players from all over the Northeast at their respective age group - while at the same time using core values to teach long lasting life lessons.
We are designed at the core to develop your kids as players on the court and as individuals off the court.
Fall 2026 AAU Basketball
Girls Tryouts
7th Grade - 11th Grade
*Teams will be broken down by age groups*
Tryout Dates:
Grades 5/6 | Wednesday August 19 from 5:00pm - 6:30pm & Thursday August 20 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Grades 7/8: Monday August 17 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm & Wednesday August 19th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Grades 9-11 | Monday August 17 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm & Wednesday August 19th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Cost for tryouts is $25.00 and players are allowed to attend both tryouts for this price...All players (both new and returning) must attend a minimum of 1 tryout.
Boys Tryouts
9th Grade - 11th Grade

Tryout Dates:
Grades 9-11 | Tuesday August 11 from 7:30pm - 9:00pm & Friday August 14 from 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Cost for tryouts is $25.00 and players are allowed to attend both tryouts for this price...All players (both new and returning) must attend a minimum of 1 tryout.
Tryout Registration deadline is August 5th. Online Registration is required for tryouts. No walk in participants.

AAU Basketball Structure
The following is the cost breakdown if your child is selected to the team after tryouts are complete.
Player Fee for new player in 2026 (includes 2026 uniform) - $549.00 - Includes brand new personalized Bulldogs uniform with player name).
Player Fee for returning player in 2026 (does not include 2026 uniform) - $449.00 - Must have played in either Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 program. Does not include uniform as you already have your 2026 uniform. If you need a new uniform the cost is $549.00.
Player Fee includes all practices (approx 1-2 per week), personalized uniform for new players, team general liability Insurance fee, coaches fee, and an approximate fifteen (15) game AAU Basketball season.
*Any potential food and hotel expenses (if needed) are not included in your player fee*
Fall 2026 AAU Basketball Calendar
Number of games: Approximately 15 games per team
Tryouts: Middle of August
Fees Due: 7 days after your final scheduled tryout date.
Practices: Soon after Tryouts
Tournaments: Begin end of September and run through early/mid November (over before school tryouts start)
Season End: Early to mid-November
Fall Tournament Schedule
*Schedule is tentative and subject to change - and may vary by team based on coaches availability*
Tournament Schedule is TBA, but each team will play between 5-6 eventst with 2-3 games in each event totalling an approximate 15-game season on select weekends between September 26 and November 7
*Tournaments are subject to change if enrollment in any event is low*
AAU Basketball Notes:
*Some 1-day tournaments may run on Saturday or Sunday, depending on which day has more signups for that particular tournament. Please be available both days.
*Typically we will not know a tournament schedule until the Wednesday or Thursday before the tournament (just a few days before), so please be patient in requesting each tournament schedule.
*If a division within a tournament is canceled due to lack of registrations, we will attempt to seek out a makeup tournament that same weekend or on an open weekend. If we are unable to find a makeup tournament for the same weekend, we will use an alternative (makeup) date.
*We will attempt to participate in as many 1-day events as possible with distance minimally exceeding 1-2 hours to limit travel and hotel costs for our parents while still finding quality events and opponents. Our goal is to do 1 overnight trip each AAU season so the kids can get the fun experience of an overnight. If any of our 1-day events are canceled due to a lack of team registrations that may result in us doing an additional overnight trip as a makeup.
Spring season: March - May (Tryouts in late Jan/early Feb)
Summer season: Mid-May - end of July (Tryouts in May)
Fall season: End of September through early November (Tryouts in mid-August)
Fundraisers:
We do have several fundraisers starting in September including a calendar fundraiser, free throw shootout and a food fundraiser to allow you to raise money to recoup your player registration fee. Detailed infortmation regarding these fundraisers will go out in early September.
